U.S. Pan American CHAMPION: the 3 stars of the event in Nicaragua

All TEAM helped to win the Pan American title. But the best athletes are 3 in the Championship: Tom Scott, Cheryl Murphy and Sakura Kokumai.


U.S. team won with 6 gold medals, one more than Venezuela, however Congratulations to Tom, Sakura and Cheryl because they won 5 gold medals for the United States.

Sakura was born on October 2 in Honolulu, studied at Doshisha University in Japan and is a member of the Japan Karate do INOUE HA Shito ryu Keishi kai. She trains with Soke Yoshimi Inoue at Totori and she has many titles at junior level.

In senior racing from the world of karate in Serbia (2010), his main opponent is Maria Dimitrova of Dominicana.Hoy after 2 defeats against Dimitrova, Sakura and Yamazaki Dimitrova won to winning his first Pan American Championships.Sakura has a great technique and speed, but today has more experience andemotional self.
